3 Easy Upsells to Serve Existing Clients

Whether you serve clients one-on-one or lead groups through teleseminars or live workshops, it’s really easy through an upsell to deepen the work you’re already doing with clients or to add the next component they need.

An upsell is an additional service to an existing package that a current client already has or a new way that existing clients can get a higher level of service from you for an additional investment.

HOT TIP: When you’re offering upsells, you want to be sure to take advantage of any natural limiters. So if you’re offering an upsell during a multi-session program, you want to offer it during your second-to-last class. That way they have from that class to the last class to take advantage of your special bonus or pricing.

So here they are—3 super-easy upsells that will serve both you and your clients:

1. Offer them a bundle.
Offer your clients a package of individual sessions that they can buy at one time for a special price. These can be three, six, or nine sessions or a number of months, but the total price would be less than if they bought the sessions one by one.

This is great for both you and your clients because you only have to make the sale once, and they also don’t have to sell themselves on their investment with you every time they want to book an appointment—that’s actually painful for people. If they’ve already paid for it, they can just relax and dive into their awesome work with you.

2. VIP Day
You can also offer clients a VIP Day or half-day. This is when you meet with the client in person or through video Skype and they get a whole day or half-day of your attention focused directly on their life or business.

This is a natural upsell out of a group program, because many of your clients are going to want to take it further and learn straight from the master. With this option you can turn a $500 teleseminar into a $5000 VIP Day overnight…no additional web pages or online sales letters required!

3. Higher-Level Group Program
Often the members of your existing groups want to stay together and keep learning and they love the community and synergy of the group, so you can create a higher-ticket, next level group program to serve them.

One of the ways I’ve done this is through something I designed that I call A Day of Magic, and it’s like a VIP day for a small group. I’ll generally have up to eight people come out, and they’ll all get coached by me one hour at a time with the other seven people watching, so everyone learns as we go. Or, I might do it mastermind-style, where I not only coach them, but everyone also gets feedback from the group.

This is an amazing way to serve clients and also leverage your time. The investment for the Day of Magic for the client is less than a VIP Day, so they may each only be paying $1000 for an incredible day of value, but you just had an $8000 day!

Get Creative
Create your own special blend of the options above. You might offer a virtual group program that includes a couple of individual sessions too, or a bundle of individual sessions that starts with a VIP Half-Day.

Whatever the case, the most important thing is to design something that has the structure to deliver the transformation your clients need, and… that you love. You’re really excited to deliver the learning.
