As entrepreneurs we’re always looking for the shiny new thing, the cutting-edge tool that’s going to take our business to the next level.
But what if there are tools lying around your house, in fact, right on your desk, that could make you hundreds of thousands of dollars, even millions, if you knew how to use them?
Two of the tools that I’ve used to grow my business to the multi-million-dollar level are my phone and my computer. This has been through teleseminars, which are trainings given over the telephone to people who have signed up for them, usually after a free preview call.
I love teleseminars because all you need is your phone and your computer to touch thousands of people all over the world.
Here are three ways to leverage those everyday tools to get the most from your teleseminar.
1. Phone. Get a headset for your phone so that you can walk around while giving your teleseminar. We like the Plantronics brand wireless headset, which has a really strong and clear reception so that people can hear you articulate every word.
2. Computer. To get your message out to the people who sign up for your teleseminar, you want to use a conference line service that you can monitor through your computer. Our affiliate link to one that we use to run a lot of our classes is SassyTeleseminar.
Not only are your phone and computer already available to you, but even the conference lines are super easy to use. Plus you can record with them, which is important because it gives clients who couldn’t make the call a chance to listen later. So, no excuses!
3. Mirror! Sometimes we entrepreneurs overlook the time-tested teachings. This is an age-old sales tip and a good one: Keep a mirror by your desk while doing your teleseminar. Your smile shines through your voice, so if you’re going to be talking to hundreds or thousands of people at a time, you’ll want to look in the mirror occasionally to make sure you keep that smile.
It’s never been easier to get your message to the people who are waiting to hear it. All it takes is a phone, a computer — and your trusty mirror — and you’re ready to begin.
P.S. If you’re worried about what you’re going to say during your teleseminar, don’t be. Your expertise is already in you. And in our upcoming free video training series, we’ll help you structure that expertise and get it out there in a big way. Keep a close eye on your in-box next week for details!
Great article. I love your last tip; its surprising and something
you don’t really think about. I am a stickler about this too.
I usually speak of it in terms of energy, which is the same thing.
People totally feel your tone and energy through the phone, or
see it in a video, and I always try to make sure we exude love,
peace, and confidence.
