They say that timing is everything and in this case two minutes in either direction could equal thousands of dollars in sales or the same amount left on the table.
If you want to reap big rewards when you speak, end your presentation a couple of minutes early.
Not only is this respectful of people’s time, but a crazy thing happens.
If you end even two minutes late, people are looking at their watch. They’re checking their phone messages or they’ve got their keys in their hand. They’re mentally out the door.
But if you end just two minutes early, those same people will hang around and buy.
I’ve had practically the whole room stick around for another half hour to an hour in the back of the room buying my products and services.
If I had been two minutes late, those people would have been clenching their purses and keys, ready to go.
I would have missed out on thousands of dollars in sales.
So the next time you’re tempted to run just a “little bit” long, think again!
I would have missed out on thousands of dollars of sales, and more importantly, helping a few people who really needed what I had to offer at a deeper level.
End early, instead, and then let me know what happens!
