Ask Lisa: What’s the best advise you have for someone with stage fright?

I’m not an expert in managing stage fright, but here’s my advice from my personal experience.

When I start experiencing stage fright, it’s usually because I am focused on myself, how I’m going to do, if I’m prepared enough, how I look, will they like me, etc…. The minute I catch myself in that cycle, I shift my attention to them instead of me. I start to think about the message I want to give them, the transformation I want to provide that day and what I can say to really make their time with me worthwhile.

All of the sudden, from shifting my attention from me to them, my stage fright goes away and instead I find myself in more of a trusting, prayerful state. Often I ask God to let me see them through his eyes, hear them through his ears and to speak to them through me so that my time with them serves the highest good of all. It’s worked really well so far.

And on top of that, there are these great little pads you can buy online to hide sweat! LOL
