Two years ago, when my company was ranked 169 on the Inc. 500 list of the fastest growing, privately-held American companies, I was thrilled. And then I noticed that the award had sub-categories as well.
In San Diego, where my company is located, we were ranked third. But the ranking that especially made me proud is we were number 20 among companies owned by women.
We were the top 20 fastest growing woman-owned company in the whole country.
Wow, right? I’m still pinching myself.
I’m telling you this today, because I want to inspire you, women, especially, to pursue your dreams. Do what you are called to do, and make a difference in the world.
Don’t say you can’t achieve your dreams because you have kids or you’re a stay-at-home mom or any of the other excuses that we commonly pull out to stop ourselves.
When I launched my business, I had a newborn and a three-year-old, and a husband who was doing his medical residency. We were not flush by any means.
Your kids are not your excuse; they’re your inspiration. They’re the reason.
They are the reason to follow your dreams.
And if selling to women is part of your dream, you might want to check out my virtual training “How to Sell to Women.” In the training, I’ll show you how to honor, serve, and inspire women to say YES on the spot.
