The Power of Finding Your Tribe

Finding-Yr-Trible.pngWe were all just together for Ultimate Sales Bootcamp, and it was so magical, it got me thinking about the power of having a tribe. By that, I mean a group of like-minded people around us, vibrating in the same frequency, learning, growing and providing help and support.

There are all types of tribes, but I’ve found that the most successful ones are invested. They’ve come together with an investment of time, money and energy for a common purpose.

For instance, our Sales, Authenticity, and Success Mastermind (aka Sassy) tribe comes together for the purpose of making big money doing what we love and learning to sell without being salesy, all in a heart-centered way.

So whether you’re just getting started or have been in business for years, here are three powerful ways that an invested group of like-minded tribemates could be there for you:

1. On the ground. This is everything from celebrating your wins to helping you with the strategies and tactics to create more wins. Think of the achievements that you have shared with other people, who just didn’t get it. For instance, if you just landed a perfect affiliate, it could be totally life altering for you, but most people in your life would have no idea what that means. Your tribe would, however, and they would magnify that win, doing all that they could to help you create more.

The most successful tribes come together with an investment of time, money and energy for a common purpose.

2. In the air. I’m referring to the things that happen between your ears, so that’s your fears and your challenges, which your tribe would understand too. For instance, let’s say you just got eight clients at $500 each, and most people in your life would think that making $4,000 in a day online was amazing and you should be celebrating. But you know that you put months into your launch and you had a much bigger goal in mind. So, instead of celebrating, you’re putting your nose to the grindstone to figure out what you need to do next. Your tribe would jump right in beside you, supporting you all the way, while others might judge you as “too into your work.”

3. In community. This is that all-important give and take of support. Your tribe could support you in everything from book launches to helping you climb up in your YouTube rankings, to liking you on Facebook, giving you feedback, or even showing up at your very first live event. Call them what you will: your witnesses, collaborators, mastermind partners. This sense of community is the intangible part of the tribe that provides the ongoing experience of magic.

And, let’s face it, as much as your family and friends love you, a lot of times their feedback and help is less than helpful. In most cases, they are not your ideal clients, and they have not walked in your moccasins. While your invested tribe would actually have the clarity and know-how to help you move forward.
