When crafting Irresistible Offers so that people can say yes on the spot, one of the challenges that people run into is what to use as a bonus.
Of course you have your main dish, which is the main program that you’re offering. Your bonus, which is like the super yummy side dish, is something that the same client who buys your main dish would also really want. For example, if they’re buying a program about how to sell info products, they would probably get huge value from a bonus about how to grow their ezine subscriber list.
But instead of getting all wrapped up in trying to create a new free report or audio recording — which you always think is only going to take you five minutes, but four hours later you’re still working on the art work and the formatting and so on — is to consider using other people’s bonuses.
For example, in our hot, new 6-Figure Teleseminar Secrets ALL NEW “Love Your Life” System, one of the bonuses is provided by Michele PW, whose company does a lot of the copywriting for my teleseminar launches. She’s contributing a module that walks my students through the different copy elements needed for the online portion of the teleseminar launch, like having an opt-in page that converts well.
My clients get that extraordinary value, and I didn’t have to create anything extra!
What does Michele get out of the deal? Obviously, it’s great exposure. She gets the tie-in with our successful business and gets in front of our action-taking clients. She gets her work out there and helps people at the same time.
In the reverse, I also provide bonuses for other people to use with their programs. Bonuses like my free report “Seed and Grow Rich – How to create hunger and desire in your audience without being salesy.” When their clients come to collect the bonus, they opt-in to download it and, with one stroke, I’ve given a gift that adds huge value to their Irresistible Offer as well as expanded my reach and my list with perfectly targeted, new potential clients.
It’s a beautiful win-win strategy, right?
So, the next time you’re getting ready to launch a new program, rather than creating that new CD, DVD or report to use a bonus, take a look around at the work of your colleagues.
It could be that the perfect complement to your main dish already exists. Then, all you have to do is ask.
