Groups like that don’t usually happen without a leader, without someone who assumes the throne and says, “I’m going to set the direction here.”
So while finding your own tribe is amazing, even better is to build a tribe around you and your area of expertise.
Why Do You Want to Build a Tribe?
Building your own tribe is super satisfying and fun. It draws your best work out of you, gives you a place to teach and develop it, and allows you to make a big difference in people’s lives. The tribe that you build also becomes your community, so it enriches you. Plus, it’s super leveraged, so it’s very lucrative as well

How to Build Your Tribe
There are really only two ways to build your tribe.
1. One by One
You can bust it out one by one, talking to prospects individually. This can work for filling small group coaching programs, but if you’re aiming higher than that and have plans to grow, you can start to imagine the coordination and constant marketing effort it would take to get everybody on board, all starting at the same time. So if reaching a large group and rapid growth are your goals, this option may not be sustainable as your only approach.
2. Get Them All Together
Far better is to get everybody together live, such as at a live event, retreat or workshop, and then use a structure to create an experience that they won’t want to end. Even small events of 12-18 people can go a long way toward filling your program. That’s because there’s really nothing like the power of people seeing you in action and learning from your brilliance for several days to leave them wanting more. Then, all you have to do is invite them to turn that three-day experience with you into a six months-, nine months-, or a year-long group coaching, mentorship or mastermind program.
And then, voilà, your tribe is born!
