In my year-long Sales, Authenticity & Success (aka Sassy) Mastermind program, we do some sneaky things to make sure that our clients are learning on a deep level while having fun.
During our live retreats each year, we do what we call a “Sassy activity.”
A year or so ago it was a Chili Cook-Off. Now, who would think that a Chili Cook-Off could help experts and entrepreneurs learn about sales conversion, but it did.
First of all, we put them into teams, so immediately they were bonding and learning from each other.
Second, not only did they have to make the chili, but they had to sell it to a panel of expert coaches and me.
They locked in their learning of our sales training techniques — selling with their irresistible offer, using their limiters, doing their on-the-spot close without being salesy — as they had a great time.
If you’re inspired to implement something like this in your own business, here’s another tip: Make sure that there is a winner, who gets a reward.
One Sassy team of 10 went home with a beautiful trophy to proudly display and, of course, the knowledge that they’re now out there killing it with their sales conversion while making a huge difference in people’s lives.
