Often in trainings, people shoot themselves in the foot by asking themselves the wrong question.
They’ll be listening to a speaker or even a program that they’ve paid for, and they’ll ask themselves, “Does this fit?”
The trouble is, all you can get is a yes or no answer. It either fits or it doesn’t. If you decide the material doesn’t apply in your business or line of work, you’ll get nothing from it.
It’s far better to open up possibility by asking yourself, “How does this fit?” Assume that it has something to offer you. After all, there’s a reason you were drawn to it.
This suggestion is especially helpful for people who come from a different model than the speaker or trainer.
So while the content still may not be a perfect fit for your business, asking yourself how instead of does, will keep you seeing illuminations that you wouldn’t have seen otherwise. And you’ll surely find tips and strategies that you can apply.
